    Nicely Modern
This modest 1965 ranch-style home received new life when designer Kelly Peterson got hold of it. The wall which separated the formal living room and family room was removed, allowing the new kitchen space to ease outside of its former boundary. The old carpet, linoleum and tile floors were removed, exposing the original concrete slab, which was freshly-stained and scored. The brick fireplace was covered with smooth concrete. New lighting adds warmth and drama to the home.
